Youth Association DRONI is proud to be a partner in the VOLU-MENT project – an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership launched in July 2025. Coordinated by the Talentum Foundation for the Support of Volunteering (Hungary), the project brings together four civil society organizations from Georgia, Hungary, Portugal, and Türkiye, working to strengthen the capacity of organisations active in local volunteering and ESC hosting/sending.

Our Mission in VOLU-MENT

We recognize the increasing need for support in both volunteering engagement and youth mental well-being. The VOLU-MENT project aligns with our mission to empower youth and strengthen civic engagement through sustainable and inclusive actions.

Main Objectives:

  • RAISE AWARENESS OF VOLUNTEERING REINFORCED BY MENTAL SUPPORT

  • Empower staff coordinating/mentoring young volunteers

  • Provide practical methods of mental support

Broader Goals Include:

  • Increasing the capacity of youth-serving organizations

  • Promoting inclusive practices within civic society

  • Improving the mental health of young people through structured volunteering

  • Encouraging youth engagement and community participation

  • Drawing the attention of decision-makers to volunteering as a preventive tool

  • Supporting active citizenship and long-term youth involvement

Key Work Packages

WP1: Project Management

Includes coordination and regular meetings to manage funding, time, processes, communication, and partner collaboration.

WP2: Research & Best Practices

This phase aims to PROVIDE THE SUITABLE BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT PRODUCTS by examining local realities and building evidence for effective action.

  • Conducting RESEARCH ON THE YOUTH ATTITUDES AND MOTIVATION IN VOLUNTEERING in each country

  • Developing action plans based on research outcomes

  • Compiling a COLLECTION OF BEST PRACTICES from partner organisations

  • Mapping existing capacities to offer better mental support to national and international volunteers

WP3: Empowering Workshop & E-Guide

The third stage focuses on building practical knowledge to EMPOWER THE STAFF AT VOLUNTEER HOSTING CSOs WITH PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE.

  • Hosting an INTERNATIONAL EMPOWERING WORKSHOP for youth workers using non-formal education methods (roleplay, peer exchange, intervision)

  • Producing a multilingual PRACTICAL E-GUIDE ON VOLUNTEERING MENTAL SUPPORT, with tools, videos, infographics, and storytelling to help mentors deal with youth mental health

WP4: Local Actions & Impact

In the final phase, we aim to DISCOVER THE COMPLEMENTARY IMPACT AND ADDED VALUE OF VOLUNTEERING, foster civil participation, and generate measurable impact.

  • Running LOCAL VOLUNTARY ACTIONS in each country

  • Implementing impact measurement tools to assess mental support outcomes

  • Hosting MULTIPLICATION EVENTS to spread knowledge and inspire local actors

  • Developing a POLICY RECOMMENDATION based on research and outcomes

  • Creating a COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE to sustain peer learning and long-term impact
