The DRONI wrapped makes a relentless return to give you the full feedback of what happened in DRONI for the volunteers and members during that month of October. For the first time, the 2025-26 volunteers have spent a full month together. The occasion for some of them to attend their first Georgian lessons and to provide Ponichala classes. Homemade lobio has been cooked, a lot of shoti purchased, and Georgian culture is rayonating.
Anaïs said goodbye to our team and Georgia after two lovely months in DRONI and great workshops about Animated cinema. But the French team remains strong with the arrival of Inès, who’ll stay until next summer.

Local Events
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Cinema is Art”, 1st October
We had a wonderful time exploring the world of Animation together ! The screening featured a mix of 2D, 3D and stop-motion short films that sparked emotions and conversations. It was inspiring to see how each story resonated differently with everyone.
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Deep dive into AI”, 6th October
During the workshop, we discussed artificial intelligence. First, the attendees discovered how difficult it is to explain reality to a machine, focusing on the linguistic aspect. This was important for them to understand how tokenization works and how generative artificial intelligence tries to replicate human syntax using mathematical methods. Then, the presentation focused on examples of hallucinations and ethical dilemmas involving artificial intelligence. The last slides were about alternatives to common chatbot software and websites. People were interested, and their feedback on this workshop will be useful for future workshops on digital ethics.
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Travel medicine”, 9th October
During the Travel Medicine workshop, participants explored how traveling can affect health and how we can prevent it with simple tricks, and finally what it means to stay well while discovering new places. Also, we talked about general preventive measures for international travelers, like vaccination awareness and managing common travel-related illnesses. Through interactive discussions and game-based learning, we shared personal insights and experiences about staying healthy abroad. The overall mood was engaging, collaborative, and filled with curiosity about global healthcare practices.
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Movie club part II”, 14th October
The movie club was back, now happening on a more regular schedule. For that edition, more than ten people attended and we talked about the last movies that we saw. Most presentations were really complete and personal, often about confidential movies. A really great time between cinema lovers.
→ “Tbilisi Scavenger Hunt Adventure”, in Tbilisi, 15th October
As part of the ESC journey in Georgia, our volunteers took part in a Tbilisi Scavenger Hunt game, to explore the heart of the city through creativity and fun !
Starting from Liberty Square, the teams started on an adventure through the charming streets of Old Tbilisi, the Rike Park and the historic Abanotubani district to complete creative challenges and capture the city’s spirit in photos and videos.
From posing near the Sulphur Baths Waterfall, to finding hidden art in Sololaki and enjoying a tasty break at Orbeliani Bazaar, every stop revealed a new side of Tbilisi’s culture, history, and hospitality. The volunteers also reflected on what freedom, peace and hospitality mean to them connecting local values with European ones.
It was an unforgettable day full of laughter, exploration and team-building !
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Sushi day”, 22th October
As part of the DRONI ESC team volunteering activities, our volunteers had the amazing opportunity to take part in a Cultural workshop !
Under the guidance of a skilled chef, they learned about the art of sushi preparation, its rich history and many fun and fascinating facts about Asian cuisine. Everyone then got hands-on experience – rolling their own sushi and discovering just how much creativity and precision go into each piece. Of course, the best part came at the end: tasting their delicious creations together !
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, teamwork, and laughter, and of course, lots of tasty sushi !
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Cinema is Art, part 2”, 24th October
This time the screening was focused on Halloween thematic. Scarier and spookier short animated films, and the audience was once again captivated by the selection of Anaïs.
→ Erasmus+ & Team ESC visit in Kutaisi, 25th October
Our volunteers from Georgia, Germany, Armenia and Turkey, within the framework of Erasmus +/Team ESC Volunteering, took part in activities in Kutaisi, where they organised interactive games for young people and children.
Our international volunteers painted kids’ faces and led a fun “Guess the Song” challenge, where participants had to identify which country each tune came from. There was also an educational game about European countries and flags, along with many other engaging activities. One of the highlights was the Treasure Hunt, where participants searched for three special items hidden around the space. Those who completed the challenges received fun prizes and souvenirs
The volunteers also introduced participants to DRONI’s ongoing projects, volunteering opportunities and shared printed materials, including publications, stickers and flyers. There was even a creative drawing corner, where everyone could express their idea of Europe
The event was not only about showcasing DRONI’s work, it was also a great opportunity to connect with other organisations, join their activities and even win some prizes
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Is it really that deep ?”, 28th October
Overall, the workshop went very well. Everything went smoothly. The small group of six participants created a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged discussion. The DeepFake examples and interactive activities worked well to engage everyone, and the discussions—especially about the dangers of DeepFakes and AI ethics—were the workshop’s main strength.
→ Get Ready Workshop: “Movie club part III: Halloween Special”, 30th October
We freaked each other out with scary and spooky film proposals and recommendations. New faces, not only in the movie club but also in Droni. Looking forward to the next edition in two weeks.
→ Get Ready Workshop: “StoryLens”, 31th October
The workshop and exhibition “StoryLens” brought together young creative people to explore how light, color and composition can turn simple images into powerful stories.
Participants enjoyed a vibrant photo exhibition and screened short trailers and ads they had created during the youth exchange, with bare hands, no real actors or any special devices. This showcased that there is no need for any special tools, when you have a desire to create.
Together they discussed the emotional impact of color and the storytelling role of lighting in both photography and film. The atmosphere was lively and inspiring, filled with curiosity and laughter as everyone got to know each other and shared their creative journeys.

International Projects
→ Erasmus+ Project in Kobuleti,
On the first day we started with some games to get to know each other and to catch up. In ther afternoon the Georgian youngsters showed everyone how to make the traditional Georgian dish “churchkhela”. It was difficult in the beginning but also a lot of fun. After dinner and some more games in the evening. Everyone went to bed positively exhausted.
The second day was full of energy and creativity ! We danced a lot, tried the traditional Georgian clothes on and laughed a lot. Everyone reflected themselves upon their role in the program and wrote their personal expectations down. Some lucky people even got to milk the cows for the first time in their life.
The absolute highlight of the third day was the Khinkali making workshops. Thanks to our Masterchef we now know how to make the prettiest and tastiest ! After some georgian sportgames in the afternoon we had really good swedish tacos for dinner, prepared with lots love and excitement by the participants.
→ “The Art of Storytelling” in Tenerife, Spain.
DRONI members joined a 5-day training course, “The Art of Storytelling,” in Tenerife, alongside participants from 10 countries. They explored storytelling techniques through creative workshops, island legends, and outdoor activities. During the cultural evening, DRONI represented Georgia, sharing traditional food and stories. The event encouraged intercultural exchange and future collaborations. Participants described the experience as “inspiring, educational, and unforgettable”.
→ “Economic Inclusion through Social Entrepreneurship” in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.
Droni members participated in the training course “Economic Inclusion through Social Entrepreneurship” in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. The program focused on entrepreneurship and included visits to local social enterprises, where participants learned about their values and success stories.
Through interactive sessions, they combined theory with practice using a board game that emphasized teamwork, role distribution, and the differences between investment and taxation systems. In groups, participants developed business ideas focused on education and presented them during a final pitching session, receiving symbolic gifts. Droni members described the experience as inspiring and motivating, strengthening their understanding of social entrepreneurship and their connection with Ukrainian culture.
→ “Intersectionality and Climate Justice” in Bucharest, Romania, 13-17 October.
From October 13 to 17, DRONI member Keti attended the training “Intersectionality and Climate Justice” in Bucharest, Romania.The program explored how climate change affects different groups and included an Innovation Camp, where Keti’s group developed a training plan linking climate change and extremism for educators.
Participants also visited UrbanizeHub, a sustainable urban development lab. Keti described the experience as inspiring, offering valuable opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, and learn from international peers.
→ “Digitale Resilience Puzzle”, in Baia Mare, Romania, 25-28 October
The Erasmus journey began in Tbilisi, where friendships started forming during the trip. Many participants were on their first project, making the experience exciting. On the first day, participants met in Romania, shared expectations, and started exploring the project topic : fake news and online safety.
On the second day, the focus was on digital literacy, discussing fake news, photo editing, and social media. Participants learned about the organization Greentin, met volunteers from different countries, and enjoyed a “Treasure Hunt” around Baia Mare, strengthening bonds between Romanian and Georgian participants.
By the fourth day, the program combined discussion and creativity. After an energizer led by Georgian participants, groups explored how digital technology has changed human relationships, presenting their views publicly. Later, they expressed these ideas through short performances. The day ended with a Romanian cultural evening and sharing memorable photos from the Treasure Hunt.
→ “Behind the Lens”, in Tammispea, Estonia
The main theme of the project was filmography and photography. Participants gained unique experience by creating trailers and advertisements, preparing theatre performances and exploring how light, positioning and colors work in cinema.
The activities helped them understand how emotions are created through camera angles, lighting, and color composition. Droni members described the project as an inspiring experience that deepened their understanding of cinematography and brought them closer to Estonian culture !
