The workshop about mindfulness took place on 04.04.2025 at Droni’s office. It felt like just the right workshop near the end of the week, allowing the participants to relax and slow down. The activities were designed to spread awareness about mindfulness and enabled those attending to have time for themselves through practical activities. The workshop started off with putting away the phones to fully immerse in the experience, it continued with a quick introduction session where participants shared their names and a small joy in their everyday life. Afterwards, Participants had an opportunity to try out different methods of mindfulness, such as: breathing exercises, 5 senses, guided meditation, spreading love and kindness, journaling… After shortly explaining the purpose of the topic, breathing exercises served as a chance to calm down and experience the power of the present moment. Then came the guided meditation, where participants had to close their eyes, think of themselves, their loved ones and strangers, gradually, and imagine spreading love toward them. The method “5 senses’’ helped with grounding by focusing on the senses of sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. The following activity was about thinking of the same every case scenario and describing them with negative and ungrateful, as well as positive and grateful way. The participants had a chance to think about different perspectives to help them appreciate even not the most pleasant things. One of the activities which made some of the people attending, emotional, went like this: there were 2 groups, one of them had their eyes closed, while the others had to think about the positive things they wished they heard more often, and whisper it to the people in group 1. This activity served to share love, compassionand kindness. Lastly, everyone got to journal and write down how they felt, things that make them happy, to think about the people they are loved by, as well as small joys they wish they enjoyed more. Overall, the workshop reached its goal to help people slow down, immerse in the present moment and be more grateful, by putting away their phones as a mean of distraction, and immersing in the activities of mindfulness thoroughly. Here are a few of positive feedback participants shared about the workshop: “ I really needed that workshop so much, can’t even explain how good it made me feel. I loved and enjoyed it so much. I felt like I was valid and enough. This was my fav workshop ever’’; “ Thanks for giving me a chance to think about myself.’’ “ It was very well planned, super calming, refreshing.
