On 26 April, EUROBUS visited Sumqayit — a calm and welcoming city near Baku. We were hosted at the local youth centre where the Young European Ambassadors are active.
The visit began with introductions and informal conversations. As the group was smaller, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly from the start.
The Young European Ambassadors gave a presentation on Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps and other European opportunities. Afterwards, we presented the EUROBUS project, the micro-grants programme and the social media competition.
We then held a brainstorming session, where participants worked in groups to develop project ideas linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, presented them and received feedback from our team.
To wrap up the visit, we played a fun Jeopardy-style quiz filled with questions on Europe, the Caucasus, democracy and history. All participants received symbolic prizes, and we ended the day with lots of energy and good vibes!
A big thank you to the Young European Ambassadors for hosting us and to everyone who joined!
