On April 14, EUROBUS visited the Imereti region, Zestaponi Municipality, in the village of Dilikauri. Our host was the Dilikauri Community Center, where we were warmly welcomed by the local team.
We began the day with presentations about the EUROBUS project, the MEET UP! program, micro-grants and the social media competition. A local Young European Ambassador also spoke about Erasmus+, ESC and local youth initiatives—including one funded by EVZ. She is also the co-founder of Youth for Zestaponi and shared insights about their work.
Although we had planned to run the station activities outdoors, the cold weather led us to quickly adapt and move most of them inside. Only the football station remained outdoors, where participants had fun scoring goals and answering questions about Europe and the SDGs to win symbolic prizes!
Indoors, with music playing, participants moved between stations, solved quizzes and learned about Europe through fun and interactive activities.
After a cozy snack break and informal discussions, we revisited the topic of the SDGs and helped participants create three short videos, which may be entered into our social media competition!
