Eurobus: Visit to Oshakan, Armenia

Posted on 27 May at 10:13 am
Our second stop in Armenia took us to the beautiful village of Oshakan, where we were hosted by the Uniting Bridge NGO and the amazing EuroClub Oshakan team πŸ’™ The visit was coordinated with the support of Mariam Hovhannisyan, the coordinator of the Young European Ambassadors in Armenia.
πŸ‘‹ We had a special guest for this stop β€” the EU Ambassador to Armenia, Mr Vassilis Maragos! He arrived right on time, greeted us warmly, and shared kind words of encouragement with the young participants. His presence added extra inspiration and excitement to the day.
πŸ“½οΈ We began with a presentation indoors about the EUROBUS project and the opportunities available through our micro-grant and social media competitions. The Ambassador also addressed the group, highlighting how important such initiatives are for youth development.
🎯 After the presentations, we headed outside into the lovely garden space where activity stations were already set up and background music filled the air. Participants explored different themes through fun activities:
πŸ—ΊοΈ EU map dart challenge
πŸ—£οΈ Language and culture match game
🧠 Knowledge quiz
πŸ“ Ping pong
🎨 Mural art zone
πŸ“Έ EU-themed photo booth
…and more!
πŸͺ We took a short break to relax, enjoy snacks and chat informally with the participants.
🎬 To close the day, participants teamed up for a creative challenge β€” making short videos based on the SDGs for the EUROBUS social media competition. Our team supported them with filming and ideas, and the results will be shared soon!
🎁 As always, we wrapped things up by gifting EUROBUS merch β€” T-shirts, notebooks, tote bags and more!
🫢 Thank you to our wonderful hosts in Oshakan and to the EU Ambassador for making this visit truly unforgettable!
🌍 EUROBUS rolls on β€” stay tuned for the next chapter of our journey across the Caucasus!
