Last week our new volunteers Olivier, Sara, Paul, Fynn, Aiden, Judit, Feli and Luzia had their DRONI orientation week! Read their report to see how it went:
On Monday, we gathered at the DRONI office for a Get To Know DRONI workshop organized by Johanna. After a short presentation about DRONI’s activities we moved outdoors to play a teambuilding game! The task was simple. We were to crumble up a paper with our name and have a snowball fight while music was playing, when it stopped we had to pick up one ball, read the name and talk to the person to whom it belonged. We discussed various subjects like our motivations to move to Georgia, our strengths, our hobbies and our ideas for our work at DRONI.
On Tuesday, we all went to the Ponichala Youth Center to meet with Eliso who showed us around and told us how the Youth Center works. We were all quite impressed and look forward to organizing courses and Dronichala events there!
On Wednesday, Katty conducted a social media workshop where we learned about the different social media platforms DRONI uses, got introduced to the DRONI branding and brainstormed how to increase DRONI’s online presence. We are planning new posts currently, so make sure to check out our other social media platforms.
On Thursday, Johanna was back with second teambuilding workshop. First, we played a game to get to know each other and shared some new facts about our lives with the group. After that we played a game called the “33 minutes challenge”, where we had to complete 33 tasks in 33 minutes, so communication was key! The game taught us the importance of good communication and organisation.
On Friday, we all started working on our Get Ready Workshop, International Meet & Greet and DRONI club ideas. We are excited to show you what we have in store for the upcoming months!
